Derawan is a perfect tropical paradise. Warm sunlight combined with beach of fine, white sand, swaying coconut trees and crystal clear sea that changes color from green to cobalt blue. Underwater life here is amazing, you will find giant turtles, dolphins, manta rays, dugongs, barracuda, and stingless jellyfish. Shark Derawan here is one of the precious biodiversity. With a wealth of underwater it is not surprising that later Derawan known as one of the best diving destinations in the world.


Located not far from the mainland district of Berau in East Kalimantan Derawan archipelago consists of 31 islands and the most famous of which is the island Derawan, Maratua, Charitable, and Kakaban. In Kakaban, you can find jellyfish lake largest and most diverse in the world, including four unique species of stingless jellyfish can swim upside down. This is the reason why Kakaban considered to be nominated for UNESCO World Heritage Site.
